You’ve just said “OMG YES!” to your person, but now what? Where do you start? Chances are, you’ve been dreaming about this since you were a little girl. Now it’s time to get those Pinterest Boards out and start putting action to your ideas!
I created these templates as a fun starting point to start your wedding planning journey! Knowing what you want your wedding to look and feel like is half the battle! Download the Canva app for free and get started!
Let’s chat about what templates I’m giving you for FREE.
1.) What is your wedding vision? AKA What Are Your Colors & Aesthetic for Your Wedding?
In my opinion, choosing your color palette (and sticking to it) is crucial! Your whole look and vibe is based on these colors and aesthetic. It also makes your decisions on flowers, attire, and decor easier because you have already decided on what you want.
Ask yourself these 3 questions:
2.) Where should I start with my wedding planning?
There are so many details that go into your wedding. Having a general timeline to cross off the major items can be a huge help! Side Note: Hiring a Wedding Coordinator allows you to get into the nitty gritty without having to worry about the execution!
The timeline template I’m giving you is a general overview. It starts a year out from the wedding. Not all couples have that long between engagement and wedding. So as Ross Geller says, “PIVOT!” You can adjust this timeline to suit your needs and the items that apply to your wedding!
3. What songs do I need to choose for my wedding?
Creating the dance playlist is the fun part of planning the music, but what songs do you need to actually think about and plan? You don’t want to come up on the week of your wedding and not have THE song that will bring the groom to tears.
Like most things in your wedding, the music and songs you pick should be personal and have meaning to you and your partner! Don’t worry so much about what is considered “traditional.” What songs have marked your journey together? Do you have a song that is special to you? Think about walking down the aisle as you narrow down song choices.
Remember, planning your wedding is a marathon. Pace yourself and remember your reason for planning: celebrating your love and the beginning of a beautiful journey together! If you have any questions, you can send me an email at thewinterco.va@gmail.com.
Wishing you all the best!
